This pen is perfect for a car enthusiast and the Ironwood really sets off the detail of this unique pen.
What makes this pen so unique is the Ironwood tree only grows in the Southwest’s Sonoran desert. It is one of the biggest and oldest trees, growing to heights of 45 feet and in the desert heat for as long as 1200 years. The wood of the Ironwood tree is one of the hardest and heaviest woods in the world. Many species of wildlife to depend on the Ironwood tree to survive and the Ironwood used for this pen was responsibly sourced.
Now for the uniqueness of the pen components. The design of the mechanism is based off of a five-speed H pattern shifter. The cap has a true to life tread and hub cap. The tip is the same tread as the cap. The 5 speed pattern on the handle is etched. The crowbar clip is attached to the body with small screws which rounds out the design. At the front of the shifter, the refill fully advances and at the back of the shifter, it fully retreats.
